Christopher is a lifelong martial artist with over 3 decades of experience in: Karate, Kobudō (Traditional Weaponry), Jiu Jitsu, Pressure Point Control Tactics, Taekwondo, Aikido, Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.  He is a content authority on Defensive Tactics and Canadian Use Of Force Curriculum.

His approach to Instruction is rooted in:

Christopher believes in the transformative power of martial arts and sees great value in incorporating martial training during the earliest stages of childhood development.  Kids that get involved in martial arts training from a young age develop: self-esteem, confidence, discipline and self-defence skills that they will carry with them for a lifetime.

Grant is a self-professed grappling nut!  He has experience on the mats himself as a Gracie Combatives™ White Belt, Pro-Wrestler and has most recently spent the Winter semester teaching the Gracie Games™ Curriculum to kids K-2 at Don Christian Elementary School.

Grant's approach to instruction as the primary Coach for the Gracie Games™ Curriculum focuses on:

     • Safety.
     • Play.
     • Confidence.

As a father, Grant understands first-hand the power of jiu jitsu and the positive impact it can have on kids.  His son: Nathan is currently participating in the Gracie Games® Curriculum at Gracie Garage — Cloverdale.  

People often remark how Grant's infectious enthusiasm for teaching kids contributes to them demanding to keep coming back for more!  Grant is excited for the road ahead and being in a position to continue to teach kids Gracie Jiu Jitsu™ and serve his Cloverdale Community.
